2 more weeks

to end of service term! WOOTS!

Just finished my platoon field camp in Marsiling. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I think it was good for my instructors to tell me my appointment beforehand as it made me mentally prepared which made me felt not much stress.

I think the most challenging thing during the field camp was to get the cooperation of my peers to do things when everyone was very tired after all the digging.

But I was glad that I learnt quite a few stuffs during the field camp and I'm glad somehow, I enjoyed it.

And seriously, digging shell scrape, fire trench and command post for countless hours is seriously no joke at all.

Up next will be me holding the CWC (Wing IC) appointment. I've having mixed feelings about it. Just hope I don't screw things up for the remaining 2 weeks and hopefully things go well for me.

Finally get to recover my body from the field camp. Being a civilian instead of in the military for these 4 days is really WOW. No words can describe how every NSF is feeling. It's simply WOW. The sad thing is though I'm allowed to book in tomorrow, I will book in tonight to save that $34 cab fare from my house to SAFTI with midnight charge (got to report strength at 0700).

Played football with my friends finally yesterday. It was enjoyable until the police came. Fuck. They are coming earlier and earlier. It used to be 2plus, then 1plus and then last night, 0030hours! WTF?

I think perhaps next time we should play earlier like 8 or 9pm.

But anyway, it was fun meeting up with them. Seriously been a fucking long time since I last saw most of them.

Finally..

Today was the first time I played football with my army friends. It was quite fun. Been a super long time since I last kicked a ball.

Went back to camp for my extra duty. Time passed super fast inside. Did nothing much the whole day except to get the meals from the cook house.

If only the coming 8 months pass so fast like yesterday, I will be super happy.

And the sad thing is, the shits will start again tomorrow.

Haha been a long time since we played field football. Played against Sherman's team today.

Sadly, we lost.

But on the other hand, we enjoyed ourselves. It was quite fun in the second half.

My jersey is so big that less than half of my lower arm got sun burnt. LOL and that was a silly move back in 2002 or 2003. I think almost everyone of us got XL for our jersey, with the thinking that we would grow.

LOL basket! I never grow much and I still look damn super puny in my jersey.

It was quite fun. But damn. Almost 90% of the songs were sad love songs.

Played at The Cage in Kallang after the movie. It was nice playing football again especially it has been such a long long time since we played. Though we dominated, I still think it's like wasting our time going down there. But it was fun though.

Damn tiring.

Haven't been doing much sports ever since I left for Shanghai. Played soccer like less than 5 times since last August. And all I'm doing now is just work, sleep, work, sleep and the cycle just goes on.

Been working for the past few nights. Very tiring. Doing OT every day and that means more than 12 hours of work every night. And I'm still blogging now when I have to wake up at 6pm later. How nice is that LOL

I find it nice to look at planes flying around in the sky. It looks even nicer when it's flying in the day. And guess what? I think the place to get the best view of the planes is in the canteen toilet.

The thought of driving around with buddies is really WOW. I wonder how it feels.

I have been driving lorry for a while for the past 3 nights at work. My confidence in driving is coming back. Driving a lorry is kinda different from a car. Can't really check the blind spot and the vehicle is bigger.

I passed my TP last Friday on my first attempt. Only got 4 demerit points throughout the test.

I thought I would fail at first.

1. At vertical parking
Tester: Eh your car is a bit slanted right?
Me: Eh yeah, I know. Sorry.
Tester: It's okay. Move out now.

2. After parallel parking
Tester: Turn right at the junction.
Changing from the left to right lane.
Tester: What are you doing?!
Me: I thought you said turn right at the junction?
Tester: NO! I said turn LEFT!!

3. At parallel parking
Tester: Eh your car is still a bit slanted.
Me: Is it? Okay, sorry.
I swear the car is not slanted at all

4. On the road
Tester: Go back to the school now. You know the route back right?
Me: Yes. Go straight and just turn right .
Tester: Okay good.
Changing from left lane to the middle lane cause of hazard in front.
Changing back to the left lane.
Tester: What are you doing again?
Me: I thought must change back to the left lane every time? Those instructors said if never keep left will get 6 points.
Tester: BULL SHIT! When you are behind the wheels, you drive with your brains. This type of thing must depend on the situation. The traffic is clear now, just stay in your own lane.
Me: Orh okay.

5. Lane changing
Changing from right to left lane, slowing down preparing to turn left, but didn't change
Tester: What are you doing? Why you still don't want to change? The cab is stopping down for you because you have the 2 'L' plates on your car. He's helping you and you still don't want to change.
Me: Orh okay, sorry.

I didn't carry much hope of passing on the way back. But in the end, I got 2 points each for insufficient acceleration and failing to check the rear mirror.

Ray: Ya la, if only I got a car I will also drive you. And you don't even have your license la. Talk so much.

My first road experience after I got my class 3 was driving the tractor last night. Need to get the documents from the terminals and go back to Schenker. It was nice except that the speed is really S L O W!

Soccer match this coming Sunday up against Sherman's team. Haha been a long time since WD play on the field. We play street soccer more than field after secondary school.

O well, just hope everyone can perform well that day.

Just came back from a dinner with Sue Tan, one NP staff and some of the interns in Shanghai also. The dinner was nice. Ate quite a lot and dessert. Been a long long time since I ate good food in China. Went to Starbucks after that. I ordered Expresso without knowing what it is. And everyone had a shocking face when they saw me ordering that.

Yu Hong was the only one who was talking stuffs with Mrs Tan and the other tutor. The rest of us were playing our game. HAHA it was real fun and enjoyable.

WOO GOING BEIJING TOMORROW till Wednesday. Hope it will be fun. The temperature is really low. I went to check and the lowest for the next 6 days is -8 degrees. OMG I can't imagine how cold it is and how much I will shiver there.

Was thinking back of the secondary school days when we played soccer. I remembered I like to act as if I was seriously injured when it was only a minor injury. But it was for a while only and since then, I seldom act as if I'm in great pain. Haha the next few 'actors' I could think of was Rong Ming and Tong How. LOL it's nice thinking back of all these memories.

Tiring legs. Football early in the morning.

Supposed to have 9 people playing today. But in the end, only 5 including me turned up. Kelvin took cab down. LOL his passion can be felt man.

Makan after that and home sweet home. Planned to commence on my projects. BUT lol due to my laziness, I think I will only start after I reach home tomorrow after work.

Haven't been working for my uncle for quite some time. Bank left 34 cents. I made history in my life again. LOL thats the lowest I have hit.

Poly days are passing very fast. Next week is week 3 already. Till now, I still think my class sucks. Luckily got shy and xiu to crap with me.

HOLA people! Woots!

School has started for 2 weeks. But I don't really have the studying mood but the holiday mood. Seriously missing the days when I woke up 2pm, eat, sleep again and wake up at night and use my com till 5am. Thats why I enjoyed my hols so much. Sleeping is a joy (=

Been going out all day this week. Quite enjoyable with Kw and Tina. Went to watch movies, Kbox and meals.

Just reached home. Fucking tired. We waited for the first bus to come at the interchange instead of taking cab (which was our initial plan).

Football later (=

Slept from 6.15pm till 10am this morning. Been a very long time since I last slept for so long.

No lessons today. But still went to school to play soccer at the court. No more turf shoes left and got to wear the torn canvas shoes.

Off to the field at Kismis to play a friendly game with the lecturers. I thought they will be very lousy and be thrashed by us. LOL but somehow, they prove that they are still good.

In the end, I left the pitch half way through. Don't know the score. But our team scored 5 goals, with me scoring 2. LOL damn tyco. But it was a good feeling to score goals with my new boots making its debut.

Football again tomorrow.
