Wow. 1 month and I"m back! It's so dead here now. Haha but I'm having a colourful life now.
Going to fly off soon to Rockhampton on the 20th this month. Feeling sian about it but totally have no choice. Just going to take it as an experience (hopefully a good one). After this, my ORD will be nearing. WOO HOO!

Was surfing around and saw this video. Nice song.

slowly getting sick of ...
Had our AHM at East Coast Park yesterday. It was the first time for many to run 21km.
It was a good experience. But sadly, I didn't see much chicks around when I was running ):
Khee Xiang and I started slow. But we slowly increased our pace. I remember it was around 1 hour when I finished my first 10.5km. HAHA and I completed the whole race in about 1 hour 30+ mins.
Went for dinner after that at Bedok interchange with Vivien, Alfred, SK and Wai Yew. And home sweet home.
//
Finally I got gold for my IPPT again. Haha swee another 200 dollars! And I can finally put on my badge after buying it for so long. Luckily the SBJ mat is better than the electronic system. I got 234 on my 2nd attempt alr. Simply magical. LOL
I can still feel my knee aching now ):

Life of an Officer
So after I commissioned on 130609, I was posted to 42SAR (which is still in my beloved Sungei Gedong Camp).
I was quite sian to be posted to 42SAR at first because other units are not on standby and taking mostly recruits or first year soldiers. On the other hand, 42SAR is going Aussie this November for ATEC and taking second year soldiers, something that's quite challenging.
After the initiation of a 7km route march within an hour, SOC in FBO with a stretcher plus 2 jerry cans and camouflage drill of the vehicle, we went for an interview. That was when I was posted to Jaguar Company as a PC.
Life over there is good so far. I'm lucky to have good people around me. The working enviroment is good and the soldiers there are quite disciplined compared to the other 2 companies. Officers also have privileges like able to stay out and go anywhere without much permission. So it's good to be an officer la. LOL!
I'll be taking over the platoon next week. My upper study broke his ankle last week. That means I'm going to fight ATEC. Luckily I'm looking at it positively for now. If not I will be super sian.
Hope everything goes well for me, and of course everyone who is leading his/her own life now.

Random
Was thinking back of my secondary school days. Indeed, time flies.
It has been 4 years since I left Montfort. Been there for 10 years. It was full of ups and downs. But nonetheless, I'm glad that I made good friends especially through the last 4 years in Montfort.
Now that I'm in the army, I kind of lost touch with them. I believe all of us are busy with our army life. We only have weekends for ourselves.
I'm always looking forward for a gathering. Be it for football, meals or even a drink. Just missing those times we used to have because after I'm in OCS, I seldom catch up with them.
//
Suddenly thought of this friend whom I was used to be close with in the past. But somehow, we drifted away further and further. And I realised it's been a really long time ever since I last talked to him.
Well, I just hope everyone in our clique will be the same like before. With innocence and ignorance, we just did everything with joy.
But I know, the chance is slim.
//
Maybe I'm writing this entry due to me being in army, I'm nostalgic about my life before I entered the army.
Please God. Let me find joy in serving my NS. Especially for this coming 8 months.

A new beginning
Finally, 9 weeks had passed by in a blink of an eye.
I will say I left Tekong with mixed feelings. I felt really really happy to leave that island as a recruit, knowing that I won't be going back to that place, at least for 2 months. But it's really sad to leave that place too.
Strangers became friends, Ladang Ave became my second home.
I'm glad that I've made some really good friends in there. The people, including the commanders, around me are nice, except for one (I guess you guys know who he is).
BMT is really a good life time experience. For mine, I will say it's almost perfect. I will never forget the times and memories we had. Hope everyone will get the postings they want.
No doubt this is the end of our BMT, but it also marks a new beginning of a new phase of our army life.
//
After I POP, my best buddy, Kw, was enlisted yesterday. Coincidentally, he was also posted to Hawk Coy. And even our section commander is the same. How coincidental can that be man!
Seriously, I hope everything goes fine for him.
All the best dude.
//
It's Mooncake Festival today. I didn't realise it until I walked pass the park and saw the kids running around with lanterns and burning candles.
It was then I realised I didn't do that for a long time. The last time I celebrated the festival was many many years ago. I think that was when The Condor Heroes was still showing on Channel 8. That was like almost 10 years ago.
I wondered how Fang celebrated her birthday on Mooncake Festival. Hmmm hope she had a nice one.
//
Zk's scan results were out. He has a crucial ligament tear in his knee and needs a couple of surgeries. The doctor said it will probably take to a year for him to recover fully.
Hmmm. Hope he will recover soon. We will miss your presence on the pitch.
//
I learnt a couple of values in life today. Shan't talk much about it. But it certainly thought me to think better as a person.

Counting down!
I will be freed from Tekong in another 4 more days! My POP is on Wednesday. Having mixed feelings about it. I will definitely be happy to be out of that stupid island but at the same time sad that I'm going to leave my friends I knew 9 weeks ago.
Seriously, it's very hard to become friends from strangers. Though it was only 2 months, most of us bonded well.
//
Gonna blog about what happened this week. It really pissed me off!
There is this guy (name him A), who joined some of us to blanket some people in our section. Seeing that he joined us, all of us had the impression that he is able to take this type of fun on him if it happened on him. But seriously, we don't have any ill intentions to injure people on purpose. We only do it for fun. Like light punches and not seriously whack him till he bleed those kind.
Last Sunday, we had one on another guy (name him D) since it was his birthday. A joined in too.
On Wednesday, we planned one on A. Seriously, none of us whacked him. One guy took the blanket to cover him, 2 pressed on his hands and D and I took his legs. But he was retaliating by kicking violently. So we gave up and quickly ran back to our beds.
What shocked us the next was that A went to his buddy's bed and whacked him up. And he went out of the bunk after that. My buddy and I realised something is amiss and suspected that he may be going to complain to our commanders.
But seriously, WHAT THE FUCK MAN!
Then we quickly ran after him.
What I saw was him walking towards the direction of the officers. He told his buddy that he went up for a walk and get a drink. Fucking hell! Who on earth will put coins in his shorts before he goes to bed when he didn't even open the cupboard to take out his money?
He told us he was sick and that he will definitely be able to take the blanket if he's not sick. But fucking hell. His stories got lots of loopholes. If he was sick, why didn't he tell his buddy about it? Why did he have to whack his buddy after we ran off to our beds?
This incident was reported to our CSM and OC.
FUCK! I know we are wrong not to think of the consequences before we act. Besides, we were supposed to have SOC the next day. But seriously, we were only having fun and didn't have the intention to injure him.
I heard rumours that his mum called and complain. That's the shit that I cannot understand.
ARGH! FUCKING PISSED! MY BLOOD ALWAYS BOIL WHEN I THINK OF THIS INCIDENT.
//
Enough of those shit.
A piece of good news. I was the 2nd best in my platoon. So I hope my chances of going into OCS will be high. Hope my IPPT results and that stupid incident will not affect it.
Army life is seriously fup.
//
And Christabel is a really nice and cute girl. LOL!

Updates!
WOOTS! I'm back from Tekong once again. Been a very long week for me cause I was confined and I had to stay in today to redo my IPPT when others booked out at 1345 on Friday.
Had my Sit-test on Monday. Did the 12km road march. Everything was good. I kinda enjoyed the 3 days. Luckily I was not as stoned as my field camp. My peer appraisal was alright I suppose.
Then did my 16km road march right after my Sit-test. It was not as tough as the 12km march.
My IPPT was slightly better. I passed it this time round, but not very good though.
Sit up - 42
Shuttle run - 9.8s
Pull up - 12
SBJ - 216
2.4km - 9.48min
My SBJ pulled me down again. Basket every station is 5 points except for SBJ.
//
I'm damn sick now. Been coughing non stop since Sunday. My throat hurts like fuck also.
AHH! FUCK!
//
1 more week to POP!

My army life
In an blink of an eye, it's my 6th week in BMT already. Everything has been going on very fine so far.
I have finished my field camp, live grenade and BTP.
Field camp was alright. My rifle was being stunted (stolen by the sergeant) when I was helping my friend to refill his water bottle. How lucky I am. This explains the early book in at 0815 later on. I totally hate it man.
Live grenade wasn't as exciting as I thought.
As for BTP, I was only a shot away from being a marksman. Wasted.
Going to have my SIT test from Monday to Wednesday. Hope I will do well.
And please, let me pass my SBJ.
I did well in other stations.
Sit up - 45
Pull up - 12
Shuttle run - 5 points (I didn't see the timing)
2.4km - 9+ minutes
AHHH! If I fail my re test, I won't be able to go into command school, let alone OCS.
SIAN!

Another new chapter
Finally, I'm back at home after 2 weeks in a lovely island (Pulau Tekong).
I enjoyed myself in the past 2 weeks. Trainings were not that tough in the confinement week. Luckily for me, I managed to settle in well and everyone in the platoon, or rather section, mixed quite well. Hopefully there won't be any conflicts among one another.
My buddy is from BS too. But weird, I have never seen him in school around before. Good that Wilson is in my platoon too. At least I have someone I know before enlisting.
1 week into BMT, I was admitted to the sick bay. My right eye was very red. I wanted to get eye drop from the MO only. But the stupid medic asked me to stay inside the sick bay. And sadly, I was inside for 5 days. HAHA! My BMT is only 8 weeks!!
The food in the sick bay SUCKS! PORRIDGE FOR LUNCH & DINNER -.- KAO!
But I missed quite a few activities like the Technical Handling Test, First Aid Test and 2 SOCs.
Many things ran through my mind when I was in the sick bay. Thought of my family, friends and I missed football a lot.
After every recruitment talk (there are 3 by the way), I will feel kinda lost. I have not idea what I am going to do after these 2 years. Though I'm thinking of continuing my studies, I'm thinking whether to sign on. The lucrative salary is really attractive. But no worries, the chances of me signing on is actually quite low. It's just the thought of what I want to do in the future that is troubling me.
Going to throw the grenade this coming Thursday. Hopefully my sore eye won't return and that I will be perfectly alright. If I'm on status this week, I won't be able to throw the grenade, which is like the only time I will throw a grenade in my whole life (unless war comes).
Got to book in in another 13 hours. Looking forward to the next book out!

Chomp Chomp
Been a long time since I had lots of food in front of me and ate so much.
Kelvin won some money last week, so he treated Pk and I at Chomp Chomp.
We ordered lots of food. Chicken wings, hokkien mee, char kway teow, stingray, satay and not to forget the big big mug of sugar cane juice.
It is a lot to us cause there were only 3 of us there.
Really enjoyed the nice food.
//
Beloved Kb is enlisting this Thursday.
Sad man, I'm so gonna miss his cute belly which I always touch. LOL!
Same for Rm, he's going in the following day. And followed by Bleo in the following week.
Then in a blink of an eye, it will be my turn in less than a month's time after Bleo enters the army ):
I used to be looking forward to my army. But I realised it's damn sian waiting for the day to come. I can't imagine the first night in Tekong, looking at the ceiling. I bet it sure feels worse than my first night in Shanghai.
37 more days.

And it continues...
Another chapter of my life is going to begin in July.
Received the enlistment letter a couple of days ago. I was quite happy when my dad told me that I receive the letter from CMPB. I have this thinking that it's good to go in earlier, so that I can ORD faster.
I wonder how it is like in the army. Definitely looking forward to it, but sian at the same time.
From Winnie's blog
Here lies a dilemma.
A necessary decision, an unwanted choice.
//
Good news! I'm going to end this job at the end of this month. MEANS FREEDOM!!
Finally can rest. Think I'm going to enjoy my last 2 months of civilian life before going into army since I didn't really have much rest since I came back from Shanghai.
So tired now.
